At Woodson Incorporated we have well trained and qualified staff to apply a prescribed or controlled burn to our clients' forest.  Prescribed burning reduces the accumulation of natural fuels in the forest and therefore reduces the risk of intense fires.  Prescribed burning also reduces slash, or vegetation after timber harvest, to:

• Improve access in timber stands
• Improve forage and other habitat conditions for wildlife or livestock
• Reduce insect or disease problems
• Restore or improve desirable forest conditions
